Game 37: Nats at Padres

May 15, 2015, 7:05 PM EST

USA Today Sports Images

With the just-announced news of Doug Fister going on the DL with right forearm tightness, the Nationals need quality starts now more than ever. Jordan Zimmermann can help get them back on track tonight when he takes the mound at Petco Park for the second game of this four-game series.

Zimmermann has battled some of the same inconsistencies that have plagued other members of the Nats rotation early this season, but he’s been pretty good lately, with a 3.06 ERA in his last five starts.

The regular lineup will be out there tonight against Padres right-hander Odrisamer Despaigne, who was roughed up by Arizona in his last start to the tune of eight runs and 10 hits in five innings.

As you know, I’m not in San Diego this weekend, but please keep the conversation going here and check back in the morning for some remote analysis…

Hoping for a quick Fister recovery, let’s go get a Curly W!

    GYFNG!

    • veejh - May 15, 2015 at 7:20 PM

Pray he isn’t going to need TJ.

  2. veejh - May 15, 2015 at 7:23 PM

Now that was bizarre. Cubs win in the 12th on a Polanco trip right when he was about to catch the ball.

  3. donkort - May 15, 2015 at 7:32 PM

Something has to give with all these Tommy John surgeries!

  4. nattygoats - May 15, 2015 at 7:33 PM

We are due for a good outing from our starter.

  5. David Proctor - May 15, 2015 at 7:52 PM

    Mets down 5-0 early.

    • dc27dan - May 15, 2015 at 8:07 PM

I’ll always remember him for escaping that nobody out, bases loaded jam in Game 1 of the 2012 NLDS with two pitches, I wish him the best of luck.

      • ehay2k - May 15, 2015 at 9:12 PM

Yeah, that was amazing. Good luck to him, unless he pitches against us.

      • Section 222 - May 15, 2015 at 9:22 PM

I’ll always remember him for punching a locker in early 2013 and missing a few months of the season.

      • Joe Seamhead - May 15, 2015 at 9:37 PM

I’ll always remember as being the knucklehead was a major part of bringing the ” bust” part to the 2013 season. And, yes, the two pitch escape was historic.

  6. ehay2k - May 15, 2015 at 9:10 PM

Wow. Never a dull moment with our players’ health. Hope he has caught it early enough that he just needs rest. He’s a control guy so this could be the cause of his recent issue with the ball being up.

Let’s get the Padres tonight guys. The Mets are getting beat by the Brewers.

    GYFNG!

  7. Section 222 - May 15, 2015 at 9:34 PM

So with the off day Monday, Fister’s next start would have been on Wed. May 20 vs. the Yankees. Roark hasn’t pitched since his 1.2 inning stint May 13, so I would think there’s time for him to be rested enough to do 4 or 5 innings that night. But with the off days coming up on May 18 and 21, they can actually go with just the other four starters all the way until Tuesday, May 26. So they could stretch Roark out to do a full start on that date. Fister could return as early as May 31. If he’s able to.

I hope they do turn the spot in the rotation over to Roark. I’d really rather not see Cole start again so soon.

    • sec105rowwseat28 - May 15, 2015 at 9:52 PM

Roark is the bullpen guy for high leverage situations now. Treinin failed in that role, but did pretty well pitching 4 innings in Fister’s spot last night. That lines him up perfectly to take any starts Fister misses. Meanwhile, Cole can stay stretched out as the mopup guy/long man in the bullpen, and Roark can stick to the high leverage spots he’s pitching quite well in of late.

      • Section 222 - May 15, 2015 at 10:02 PM

Maybe so, maybe not. Roark was a very stood starter last season. He has time to be stretched out before pitching, and Fister’s spot doesn’t have to be filled until May 26. I wouldn’t be at all surprised to see Matt go with four starters before then.

  8. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 9:47 PM

Mets lost, so come on Zim have a real quality star, at least 7 IP 2 or less run.

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 9:58 PM

Remember what I said about the Mets road trip. I didn’t think they would lose so many games but they were ready for a losing streak.

If Nats win today/tonight, the Nats are 1/2 game behind.

    • nats128 - May 15, 2015 at 10:02 PM

The Mets just didnt lose, they got shutout by Kyle Lohse who had a ERA 7.03

  9. nattygoats - May 15, 2015 at 10:11 PM

Please tell me Roark will pitch for Fister? AJ Cole????? LOL. Is John Lanhan available?

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:15 PM

When the spot eventually comes up, my money is on Roark or Taylor Jordan. Unless AJ Cole made mechanical adjustments, I don’t see how he will be effective at the MLB level.

      • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:18 PM

Eventually it will be Roark if long term.

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:20 PM

        Absolutely agree.

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:21 PM

I’m still staying positive on the Fister health situation.

  10. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:13 PM

Ichiro made a living with that oppo poke and Dee Gordon is making that into an art form. Denard Span just did it also.

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:16 PM

You know I have preached since I was in school 50 years, if you take the pitch the way it is pitched, you can be really effective.

      • nataddicted - May 15, 2015 at 11:41 PM

Hehe, Yuni went to the same school as you did?

  11. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:15 PM

This guy often leaves balls over the middle.

I expect a double figure hit night.

    • nattygoats - May 15, 2015 at 10:18 PM

I’m hoping for double figure run night

  12. nattygoats - May 15, 2015 at 10:17 PM

I love looking at the standings and seeing the Oreos in last place. That sucks HUN

  13. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:17 PM

    Another oppo hit.

  14. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:19 PM

Esco with Rendon and Werth could be 3 great hitters that know how to handle a bat when they’re healthy. They can hit behind runners and shorten up in 2 strike counts and they all see a lot of pitches.

  15. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:19 PM

    Right up the middle.

OK Harp keep the line moving.

  16. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:20 PM

Awful play by Almonte in CF. Good luck for the Nats! Werth now over .200

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:23 PM

      Awful read by Kemp too.

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:24 PM

He thought it was a HR swing….whoops…broken bat blooper. We will take it.

  17. nattygoats - May 15, 2015 at 10:20 PM

    Gotta convert big here.

  18. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:22 PM

    Now a pulled hit.

    Zim keep the line moving.

  19. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:22 PM

Bryce broke the bat he had the 7 HRs on.

  20. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:23 PM

Make contact and good things happen. RISP hit by Harp!!!!

  21. Joe Seamhead - May 15, 2015 at 10:25 PM

What an odd top of the first, so far.

  22. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:25 PM

    Good eye

  23. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:26 PM

Blue got it right. That was ball 4 to RZim. Good eye. Bases loaded RBI walk.

  24. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:26 PM

    Come on buffalo extend streak

  25. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:27 PM

    Rally killer

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:28 PM

      Start a new line

  26. Joe Seamhead - May 15, 2015 at 10:28 PM

So, is that a productive out/GIDP?

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:29 PM

No a rally killer, if only one out recorded, then I call it productive.

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:30 PM

Nope. If Ramos got more barrel on that it was a hit. That was a sinker he got him on.

    • Joe Seamhead - May 15, 2015 at 10:33 PM

      I was being facetious.

    • nataddicted - May 15, 2015 at 11:46 PM

A question for the knowledgeable here…

Was listening to this play on the radio and they said no RBI on the GIDP, what gives with that?

      • dc27dan - May 16, 2015 at 6:23 AM

If it’s a Double Play, no RBI on the play

  27. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:28 PM

Desi with a RISP hit! Good job! That’s BABIP. Make contact!

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:31 PM

He went up the middle. We don’t need to pull to be successful.

  28. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:30 PM

Always good when you are pitching on the road and you hit before you pitch.

  29. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:32 PM

This is now a big bottom of the first. We got the lead, Now step on their throat and take away their will.

  30. nattygoats - May 15, 2015 at 10:33 PM

Nice inning RAMOS A DBL PLAY MACHINE THOUGH. Don’t like the guy.

  31. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:35 PM

High heat for the K. Nice JZim!!!

  32. Danny - May 15, 2015 at 10:38 PM

    Reversal from last night..

  33. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:38 PM

    That hit erased fast.

Now tack on a few mire.

    Like in Arizona on Monday.

  34. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:39 PM

    The pitcher’s best friend—the 6-4-3 doubleplay. Perfection!!!

    • Danny - May 15, 2015 at 10:39 PM

Feel like we haven’t had as many this year

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:41 PM

        You would be correct.

      • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:47 PM

They said we among the league leaders

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 10:55 PM

Probably are but they include all of the doubleplays which include that Uggla line drive snare and all of those types.

  35. ArVAFan - May 15, 2015 at 10:39 PM

Now if Desmond starts hitting, you have Clancy to thank.

Remember a couple of weeks back when Werth was scuffling at the plate? Clancy-the-kitten had gotten ahold of Bobble-Werth’s bat and tried to run off with it. I got it back from him, and got the bobble out of Clancy’s reach. Notice that Werth had since heated up at the plate.

And last night, during the rain delay, he tried to steal bobble-Desmond’s bat.

If that works, Clancy will take thank you’s in the form of his favorite green herb (umm, catnip, why do you ask? Although live basil plant is a close second).

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:44 PM

Go Clancy, can he something with the Strasburg bobblehead

  36. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:42 PM

Span tried pulling one in the middle cut of the plate.

    That goes against my theory.

Escobar hit it excellently, taking an outside pitch to right.

  37. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:45 PM

Go Clancy, can he something with the Strasburg bobblehead

    Book Despagne

  38. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:46 PM

    Harper impatient there

  39. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:50 PM

Again a pitch in the middle, the batter tries to pull.

First inning we hit it where they pitched, twice this inning we didn’t

  40. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:54 PM

Norris takes a ball up the middle right back. That is good hitting.

    Come on JZim less Balkans

  41. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:55 PM

    Good job Espi

  42. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 10:57 PM

Yet Ghost, so far you and I are having a better night then last night.

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:01 PM

Hoping the night gets better MNF!

      • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:04 PM

I have 4 Nats tonight in draft king’s tonight

  43. Eric - May 15, 2015 at 10:59 PM

    What happened to Werth?

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:01 PM

      Fastball to the wrist pad.

      • Eric - May 15, 2015 at 11:02 PM

        Bummer

      • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:14 PM

Hope wrist pad protected from a break, and only have a bruise.

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:17 PM

Yep, agreed. It hit the pad flush.

      • Eric - May 15, 2015 at 11:22 PM

Well, that’s good. Fingers crossed. I can understand being extra cautious, especially since they were already up 4.

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:23 PM

You know it’s swollen. Hoping for the best.

  44. Joe Seamhead - May 15, 2015 at 11:01 PM

That is the same wrist that Jayson has had at least 3 surgeries on. Let’s hope it’s not serious.

    • Eric - May 15, 2015 at 11:02 PM

      Oy

  45. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:02 PM

    17 games in a row.

  46. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:04 PM

Ian Desmond with 2 RISP hits tonight in 3 innings!!!!

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:07 PM

Desi now 5-33 in RISP. That helps the BA. From .097 to .152

Espi now 2-20 in RISP. That helps the BA from .053 to .100

  47. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:07 PM

I calked a double and Espi got greedy. He would have been on third after JZim’s bunt

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:09 PM

Yep, bad move as you’re correct, JZim would have been bunting.

      • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:11 PM

So basiccal JZim’s double washes it, as he would nit been swinging.

  48. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:10 PM

The double figure hits I called earlier has already happened.

  49. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:16 PM

    James Shield pinch hitting.

  50. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:18 PM

Follow through correctly, don’t open yourself up.

  51. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:19 PM

I am all for a few tack on runs, so this new reliever doesn’t get in a groove.

  52. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:20 PM

JZim has the K’s going and he would’ve K’d Shields if he elevated the heater to where Ramos wanted it as Shields just fouled it off.

  53. Theophilus T.S. - May 15, 2015 at 11:22 PM

FP keeps talking about late motion on Two-NNs FB but velocity is up also, to 93-94. First time this year I think. Everything better.

    • Eric - May 15, 2015 at 11:23 PM

He was hitting 93 pretty consistently his last time out I believe. Good to see.

  54. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:23 PM

    Don’t pull sliders pkease

  55. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:23 PM

Spann pitched in one of the games I went to on the Buffalo’s rehab in Potomac last season

  56. Eric - May 15, 2015 at 11:25 PM

    Wow…Harper! Just amazing.

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:27 PM

He hasn’t swung at much junk lately, that means he will get mire good oitches

  57. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:26 PM

I am killing draft kings again with Harper, Desi, JZim and RZim. Also have Norris again.

  58. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:26 PM

Game 37, Harper hits his 13th HR. All of 2014, Harper hit 13 HRs.

    • Danny - May 15, 2015 at 11:29 PM

      Bang. Zoom!

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:32 PM

Let’s keep it up all year.

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:36 PM

Wow, Bryce has scored a league high 32 runs and already has more RBIs now (33) then he did in the entire 2014 season.

  59. Drew - May 15, 2015 at 11:28 PM

    1st in the National League.
    32 from 100.
    687 from Henry Aaron.

  60. TimDz - May 15, 2015 at 11:30 PM

    This is now Bryce’s team…

  61. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:33 PM

Come on. Just throw strikes, if they start hitting them then start on the edges.

Its a bigbkead, no free base runners.

Ian or someone relax him if Upton gets on.

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:34 PM

      Now that pest Nirris.

  62. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:36 PM

Jordan has gotten enough fastballs over, that is slider can get them.

They are trying to pull them, which of course rarely works.

  63. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:38 PM

Come on Ian lets work on a good approach.

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:41 PM

So much for that. Always place hands at the top of the strike zone. If you have to raise hour hands to swing its a ball.

      Just a suggestion.

  64. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:48 PM

Now you can go to edges, they are waiting for fastballs only

  65. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:49 PM

Looks like the first again. Send our McCatty. Don’t wait til all the damage is done.

  66. ehay2k - May 15, 2015 at 11:49 PM

Fun game. Loved the way they kept the line moving. Tonight we get into their pen early. Desi seems to have slowed down his swing. That’s a good sign.

Zimnn pitching well until now. He needs to take advantage of the 8 run cushion. Not try to preserve the lead. Step on their necks!

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:50 PM

Step on their throats one more time.

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:53 PM

Exactly, step on that neck and keep applying pressure #Mercenary

  67. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:49 PM

    Nice pitching.

  68. Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:50 PM

If JZim can get a doubleplay ball here…

    • Ghost of Steve M. - May 15, 2015 at 11:51 PM

If JZim can get a K here!!!

    • manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:51 PM

He is one of the fastest in the league, double play nit kikely

  69. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:52 PM

Now I am feeling better. He can make it to the 7th

  70. ehay2k - May 15, 2015 at 11:53 PM

Sort of like that! Well done Zimnn!

  71. nataddicted - May 15, 2015 at 11:54 PM

Back from seeing the PNats get beat by the Keys 4-1. Left the scorecard at Mom’s house so I’ll have to get back to you on that. The starter for the PNats, Shields? went seven and I think gave up one. He left a 1-1 game and there was a 2 run dinger by the Keys, and an add-on run. Left before the Diamond Dig, learnt my lesson on that one when the wifey found it a couple of years ago and it set me back $800 to get it set!

Back to the big league team. I am so in man-love with @thisisdspan. Does anybody see him signing here? Even on hits he’s a great CF. Climbing into the top 10 in average again. Just askin?

  72. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:57 PM

That was an east hit, how did he nit geypt a hit

  73. manassasnatsfan - May 15, 2015 at 11:59 PM

Line moving again, to bad Span tripped.

  75. manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:06 AM

You know all our negative friends, why would they not come on out and enjoy what we have seen so far.

  76. nataddicted - May 16, 2015 at 12:06 AM

Leading off the sixth, DSpan almost beats a miracle catch-throw from the sub/PH Gyrko at 2nd. Sweet glove/throw but still Denard makes it whisker-close. One out.

BTW, wierd sub-job, the 2b Spangenberg just went to CF, and Gyrko went to second after pinch hitting.

    Then Yuni gets another single.

    TMo gets a single.

    And Harp get a walk.

Bases drunk for RZim, one out… Fly to right scores Yuni and the throw to third is late, TMo moves over. Harp stays at first. Two down, men on first and third and the line moves to the Buffalo, on a 19 game hit streak.

Grounder to short and Harp is out at second. Harp goes in hard on the 2b, who was in a wierd position with his left foot on the first base side of the bag?!? and maybe didn’t even touch the bag. No challenge by MW.

    Pizza and Nugget buffet!

  77. Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 12:13 AM

Espi went running to the wrong dugout.

  78. Section 222 - May 16, 2015 at 12:20 AM

Hmm. MW confirms, they don’t need a pitcher in Fister’s slot for 13 days. We might not be seeing Tanner for awhile.

  79. manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:20 AM

    2 out RISP hit

  80. Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 12:21 AM

    More RISP hitting. Nice DSpan!

  81. ehay2k - May 16, 2015 at 12:22 AM

    A 10 spot. I can go to bed. 😌

  82. Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 12:23 AM

MNF called it. Double digit hits. Nats with 15 so far!

    • chrisrw109nats - May 16, 2015 at 12:31 AM

One of the things I am really enjoying about this game is that we are producing runs this game via something other than home runs.

Just another sign that this team is coming around.

    • manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:33 AM

Remember I have seen over 20 Padre games this year.

Tomorrow Andrew Cashner pitches. You just lay off his slider.

  83. nataddicted - May 16, 2015 at 12:25 AM

Espi went running to the wrong dugout. (Pay the man, Shirley)

What was that? Yuni just gets hit by a pitch on his back foot and because he swung he’s out? I Love Baseball!

Anyway, can someone explain why an RBI is not earned when you GIDP and the guy on third gets home?

    • manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:34 AM

We don’t to reward double play.

  84. manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:26 AM

I though since the ball hit Escobar that this defensive change works well.

  85. Eric - May 16, 2015 at 12:26 AM

Hope Escobar didnt tweak his ankle…

    • manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:29 AM

Looked like it hit the inner part of the foot. I would be surprised it he misses time (though he might get a day off tomorrow.

Werts I hope mostly got the pad, and it is bruised nit broke.

    • Eric - May 16, 2015 at 12:31 AM

Hope you’re right on both counts!

  86. Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 12:27 AM

Hoping Esco is ok after taking ball off of his foot.

    • Eric - May 16, 2015 at 12:28 AM

Kinda almost seemed like he twisted his ankle.

      • manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:32 AM

Didn’t look like much of that to me. Maybe a little awkward than anything else.

      • Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 12:42 AM

Ouch! I took a ball to my ankle in my men’s league and given my age it still hurts 2 weeks later. Probably thrown at 80 instead of 92.

  87. TimDz - May 16, 2015 at 12:28 AM

AJ Cole, sporting the Mr. T starter kit….

  88. manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:30 AM

Good to see a good inning for Cole. I hope to see another 2 good ones from him.

  89. Theophilus T.S. - May 16, 2015 at 12:33 AM

Williams has used everybody, with nine outs to get. Must be clutching his St. Jude medallion.

    • Theophilus T.S. - May 16, 2015 at 12:34 AM

      Six outs. Miscounted.

      • manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:40 AM

Just for the record Jose Loboton and Clint Robinson have nit played, so miscounted players too.

  90. manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:37 AM

Glad Taylor didn’t hit a double play the other day. Center cut pitch, hit it up the middle not to short.

Ohwell we are approaching HTC better tonight.

  91. manassasnatsfan - May 16, 2015 at 12:51 AM

Remember about 2 weeks ago Harper had about 10 k more than Desi. They are now tied.

  92. TimDz - May 16, 2015 at 12:54 AM

    Note to AJ Cole:

Forget that start in the ATL…..
You’re stuff plays in the Major League….

    • TimDz - May 16, 2015 at 12:57 AM

      or…..”your”

      • nataddicted - May 16, 2015 at 1:09 AM

        Don’t you love English!

      • nataddicted - May 16, 2015 at 1:23 AM

BTW +1 on the “Forget that stuff…”

Crash Davis: The rose goes in the front, big guy.

  93. ArVAFan - May 16, 2015 at 12:56 AM

    WOO-HOO! (TM Michelle)

And goodnight. Do it again later today, OK?

  94. Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 12:58 AM

It’s official, Nats 1/2 game back in the NL East!

  95. Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 12:58 AM

Any complaints about JZim’s pitching? I didn’t think so.

  96. Ghost of Steve M. - May 16, 2015 at 1:00 AM

    AJ Cole gets the Save!

  97. nataddicted - May 16, 2015 at 1:01 AM

In Kolko’s on-field with Danny Espinosa, I assume it’s the rookies are marching between the camera and the two Dan’s with three guys passing through with pink backpacks! Very pretty! Classic!

    • nataddicted - May 16, 2015 at 1:06 AM

I rewound it, it was the bullpen who walked by during the interview.

  98. kgwcoach - May 16, 2015 at 1:12 AM

One Knight’s best talks on Esco’s first at bat tonight. Lot of good info for the average fan.

    • nataddicted - May 16, 2015 at 1:26 AM

I actually heard what he said. Usually Ray sounds like Charlie Brown’s teacher!

      (coughing)

      Nice Job Mr. Knight.
